From Hillingdon Station, four of us head SW through Slough to Windsor Farm Shop, where rumour has it that refreshments and toilet facilities will be available. The rumour proves to be false, so we continue. The climb up Crimp hill with legs firmly crossed proves quite a task. Following route 4 sort of, we cross Windsor Great Park and stop for refreshments in Windsor Town Centre next to The Castle. After crossing the Jubilee River, I take the wrong exit at The Red Cow roundabout at Upton, and sail up the A412 instead of my planned route through Langley. John helps me get my bearings and we aim for Wexham Street, Pinewood and finally Uxbridge. Thanks to Steve, Chris and John for their companionship and forbearance.
