Went on a solo ride today. The weather was pretty much a 1 in 50. There was a slight tailwind on the way out and a slight headwind going out to Stallion Springs, which means that there was a tailwind on the way back! On the way out, I stopped to feed the Donkey on Old Town Road. He was stubborn at first, but eventually made his way to me, afterwhich I fed him carrots. I got it on video! I raised my saddle about 1/2 inch. It feels comfortable, I will have to see how it does over the next week. I didn't have much ailments, but I still felt a slight imbalance between my left and right leg. The way back felt more balanced though. My right lower back was getting a little sore as I increased the tempo. So, today was the fastest ride I've ever done since we moved here to Tehachapi. I wasn't expecting that when I left for the first few miles because there was a tailwind on the way out, which means there should be a headwind on the way back. Today proved to by contrary to what normally happens. I was putting in maximum tempo on the way back as I realized the opportunity of making a fast ride. I put the LCD bacpac on the GoPro. I couldn't see the screen in broad daylight. But I forgot that I could turn up the brightness. Will have to try that next time. I didn't feel the extra weight in the least bit. Excellent excellent day today. One to remember!
