My first group event with Zwift. I managed to show up at the right virtual place and the correct real time and so I joined a group of about 150 or so riders. Like most real rides I've been in, the leader quickly lost control of the pace. A group of 30 or so of us jumped into the lead and as the gap widened the leader asked us all to drop back and NOBODY did.
I spent most of the event hanging around the front 5-10 riders. The pace was quick for me and I was dripping wet compared to all my other Zwift events but I hung in there the whole way. If you look at the average speed and my watts you'll know I was really pushing hard to keep in the front group.
At .3 miles from the finish a group shot off the front and so I geared up to try to catch them. I caught one or two and finished, I believe, in the top 5 in this non-race.
It was fun. It was hard. And I think I would do it again; maybe just not as hard.
I skipped the after party because I have no idea what that even is.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
