Rode w Bob and Laura. Rode this ride conservatively due my fitness level and Bob coming off Terrible 2. Climbs were in confort zone and reststops were little longer due to the difficulty of the ride and the heat. The Tollhouse climb was the first significant climb and it felt longer than 7 miles . The two major climbs were steep, Big Creek and Kaiser Pass. Big Creek was challenging due to the grades and length of climb, but I was feeling ok, as I didn't try to race up it Kaiser Pass was more difficult as the last 2 miles was really steep, narrow, and hot. Bob and I had to reach deep to get to the top. The temps on the two climbs was over 100 degrees. Took long break at the top to recover as we still have 6-7 little climbs left. Finished strong with 3 women who were hammering the last 45 miles to the finish. Bob and I were able to work with them due to our earlier energy conservation. The weather was warm at the start 70 degrees and reached 104 degrees on the two major climbs. Bob and I made sure to hydrate often and the ice towels at the R/S and ice in our bottles helped. A Great ride as the support was Superb. The R/S people would fill our water bottles, they had fresh fruit and they had people stationed at the critical turns. The ice cold towels at the end of the ride were wonderful.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
