Forecast changed earlier in the morning as the predicted deluge happened a good 10-12 hours earlier than original predictions, leading to a late afternoon clearing. So that lead to hmmm, mayyyybe a bike ride would be good right about now. Settled on a Keating-to-DC loop, good for almost 40. Not hot, but legs were feeling the fast MTB ride from the day before so the last 5-8 miles were some work. All uphill of course, except for the last 1.5 miles and it took some doing to stay focused and keep working those pedals when really just stopping seemed like a really good idea. Probably didn't help there was only 10 mins of stoppage time with 2.5 hours of moving time ... The stretch along Rock Creek Trail from the Zoo to P St was as bad as always, with the additional fun of flooded spots that required dirt ride-arounds ... plus lots of people. Plus that bad, narrow, stupid tunnel.
