Another beautiful day to ride out in the country. Again with Gary, we did one of his variations on the Hill Climb, starting out of Woodstown heading West on US40 then up Kings Highway. On two occasions we came upon roads closed and under repair, but the workers let us thru. Had a guy on a Fuji Finest join us for conversation about extreme weather for a couple miles. Saw some young deer peeking up above the weeds, and a family of about seven turkeys.
At one point (Pleasant Hill Rd) I had trouble shifting down from the big chainring, and when the front derailleur finally moved the chain, it threw if off the inside where, in trying to work the shifter to put it back on while rolling along, I got it seriously jammed up against the frame. After about ten minutes, with Gary's help I got it freed up.
Back at the Acme parking lot, Mary had pizza and dessert all ready to enjoy in our little green shady spot near NJ45. Nice.
I just noticed, the route outline reminds me of Bart Simpson.
