We start off with a total of seven, with Cliff at the helm. Colin Acreman, Iain MacDonald, Tim Oakley, Chris Kinsey, John MacMillan and me. Cliff sets a good pace through Slough and Eton and we stop at the Oakley Green garden centre for elevenses. I seem to be dropping off the back for much of the rest of the journey. Must be the after effects of the I.O.W trip. By the time we get to lunch at Oak Tree Hill garden centre, Brockhill, we are down to five, Colin and Tim having left en route. After lunch, Chris takes the short route back home, while we favour the long and winding one. The return journey is tough on Cliff, who suffers an insect bite on the face and muscle cramps. These events lead to an unscheduled stop at the Blackwood Arms at Littleworth Common, for liquid refreshment. The place is packed, a surprise for a pub which is off the beaten track. Our final stop is at Denham church, where we have a brief chat with Dave Peck and ex-loiterer, Dick Read before going our separate ways. All the best Bernie G
