Since I had to be at NRL and it was the last day before 1) the deluge from Hurricane Zeta and 2) the last week before DST ends, took the bike and did the rare 2020 DC ride, this time from Gravelly Point. Just like old times! Also visited the scene of last year's abrupt end to bike riding (Mile 13); first time since it happened... Not 100% sure how I managed to do my shoulder even after looking at it and messing around with angles, but think I mighta grabbed the railing as I was falling and failed to let go in time. Meanwhile, nice fall evening -- if cloudy -- to ride through the city. Zero wind, which meant the stretch along the Anacostia was allllll me. No wind aid, no wind handicap. Turned on the helmet-mount light just before crossing back over the Anacostia (Crossing 3) and by Crossing 4 was very happy to have it. Got dim, then dark really fast.
