Shoe Factory MTB Ride 12-02-20

Trek Fuel EX. Mostly sunny, cold but not bad in the woods, fairly brisk SW wind that was only a factor on the open prairie sections. Basically did a reverse route of the last ride here plus added in some side trails here and there. Trail conditions were good, mostly dry to tacky with some wet spots in the usual places. Proscribed burns being done in the Southern prairie section during the ride, so all my clothes smell smoky.

I continue to be amazed at the beauty of this forest preserve at all different times of the year. The Fuel is the perfect ride companion here - no conditions it can't handle but I do wish there were a few technical single track sections to add to the cross country trails.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
