Checkpoint. Cloudy, cool- in the low 40's, somewhat brisk NE winds, but never got cold. Dave Struck was in town from Colorado, borrowed Jack's Domane for him to ride (perfect fit for Dave). We rode my old standby off road local route through Peck Road trail, Hickory Knolls and Leroy Oaks, all with the plan of being not too far from home when the promised rains hit. Worked out perfectly, 90% of the ride was new territory for Dave and we headed home from Leroy Oaks when I got a rain starting text from Dark Sky. Hit with a little drizzle over the last 2 miles, not enough to get wet and the real rain started an hour after we got home. Nice relaxing ride, still a good workout with minimal miles. May be the last good ride I get on this route til Spring with the rain and cold weather moving in and it might be my last outdoor ride for the next few weeks. Had lunch and a few brews back at the house after the ride. Really enjoy riding with Dave, we're always in sync pace-wise. Looking forward to visiting and riding this Summer in Colorado after the Covid vaccine comes out.
