Started at oh-dark-hundred catching sunrise on 128 to get an early start on the road - but picked up a glazed stick for Diane Mutchler and a ham/egg/muffin for me in Lexington - The Dunkins near the ride start would surely be crowded.
Diane and I were nearly the first on the road and almost made it first to the Merrimack - but Carla Stein and 2 buddies came along at 19-20 miles an hour and crushed our hopes by about 3 minutes - probably the time we spent taking pics of the East Mission house restoration.
The route was well laid out and the NSC volunteers were outstanding - making sure everyone had plenty to drink and eat. Jimmy White did a special job recording the event and even help Diane and me get back together when we got separated about mile 60 (in reality, I lost her)
Our final 10-15 miles was a lovely paceline with D and me being joined by Christi (sp?) in her full Crimson Harvard kit and Sue Wheeler (how apropos). We got in lots quicker than we had any reason to expect and had fun doing it.
Bob Wolf lent me his HRM kit because mine was non-functional and I needed HR to keep me from doing stupid things like overpulling. I could find lots of other stupid things to do, but overpulling wasn't one of them.
We saw CRWs Nancy Marchand with her Tour de Cure group, Marc Baskin with a CRW/FIB group and some NVPers - Howie Davidson on the 100 and Diane Loomis on the metric. Everett and Hollie Briggs showed up on the orange tandem.
Showered and cleaned up at Marjorie's house and left her birthday presents the upcoming event.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
