Rode out of West Deptford with Gene S, Chris H and Mike G on Gene's regular route that he is used to riding with Sam (who may be back on his bike soon with his brand-new stent). We scared up a brown-and-white hawk feasting on some road kill on an embankment along a busy stretch of Kings Highway. Mike invited me to stop by with him to see his gentleman's farm along the route, and I was happy to take him up on his offer. He has planted something like 4000 asparagus plants, and a number of fig trees (which are already bearing fruit).
