1st Ride of the New Year

Let me start with a question. Are you supposed to be sucking air on your ride to the trailhead? No, I didn’t think so. I think this easily puts me in the worst shape that I’ve been in for a long long time. I had to switch into the middle gear for half of the ride on the trail. The trail was packed hard, so every crack and rut was felt. It got dark on me still about a half mile from the end of the trailhead so the whole ride back was in the dark. Thankful for my headlight. My lungs burned multiple times from sucking in air and the rest of the body wasn’t much different, but I did it and I am thankful that I did and was able to finish. I hope this motivates me to get out there and get back to riding.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
