This ride begins from the Historic Baker Cabin near the Carver boat ramp. The route begins on Springwater Rd for about 1.5 miles. Go left at the Bakers Ferry Rd intersection. Ride Bakers Ferry Rd to Highway 224. At highway 224 go right and ride approximately 3 miles to Dowty Rd. Turn right onto Dowty Rd. This gets riders off busy 224 and onto secondary, quieter roads. Dowty Rd goes through the 2020 Dowty Fire burn scar. There is a short, steep hill shortly after crossing Eagle Creek. My Garmin 1030Plus registered a peak grade of 17%. Continue on Dowty Rd to Folsom Rd. Turn right and after about 1/4 mile veer left to Samuels Rd. This comes out at Heiple Rd. Turn left on Heiple Rd and return to highway 224. Go right onto 224 and ride through Estacada. Although 224 is quite busy, there is a nice, wide shoulder. At the south end of Estacada, veer right onto highway 211. There is a 2.75 mile gradual climb to the next turn at Wallens Rd. Fortunately, nearly all of it is at a 4-5% grade. Highway 211 is also busy, but there is a decent shoulder for most of it. Turn right onto Wallens Rd and take this to Springwater Rd. Turn right on Springwater Rd and go 4.75 miles to the Redland Rd intersection. Make a right onto Redland Rd and drop down to Viola and Clear Creek bridge. Turn right onto Mattoon Rd. This is another quiet, secondary road with a few rollers. It comes out at Fishers Mill Rd. Turn right onto Fishers Mill Rd for an immediate short, steep climb. This hill is mostly 8-10% grade. At the 4-way intersection, make a right back onto Springwater Rd and then an immediate left onto Eaden Rd. Take Eaden Rd to Bakers Ferry Rd. Return to Baker cabin via Bakers Ferry Rd and Springwater Rd.
