Modified Cherry of a Ride

Begin from St. Mary's Academy in The Dalles. There are several options on this ride, from short to a century. Today's choice was the Emerson Loop, almost 6 miles on Eight Mile Road, return to The Dalles and finish with the Riverfront bike path loop that includes the Discovery Center. Most of the climbing occurs in the first 17 miles. There is a long climb at the beginning of Emerson Loop Road as you turn off Fifteen Mile Road.

Other longer options include continuing to Rowena Crest and beyond after reaching the Discovery Center. This can also take in the Mosier Tunnels.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
