Tour dem OGs 2021

Tour dem Parks cancelled AGAIN this year but not to worry, we did our own Tour dem .... OGs instead. Used most of the 2013 route, including going clockwise, though starting from the I70 Park and Ride.

Cool-ish day though the sun eventually came out. Several missed turns and stupid failures to follow directions (ahem Mile 6) but mostly we followed the GPS route. Ride started not too auspiciously when I flatted (the front!! The front NEVER flats) within sight of the start. SMH.

Longest stop was at Mile 35 when the other OGs declined to ride the .8 of a mile along Franklintown Road. Yeah, it's narrow. Yeah, there are cars. It's not even a mile. Wusses did trails up to Windsor Mill and then back to Winan's Meadow while i waited. Was just about to go on when they showed up.

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
