A little twist on Bike Your Park this year. We are celebrating Penn State University's Bicycle Friendly University GOLD status, AND the Centre Region's SILVER Bicycle Friendly Community with the League of American Bicyclists!
We will start at Spring Creek Park, Ball field side. use the paths to go up Orchard Rd (via connector) to Park Avenue. Up to Porter (short road ride), pass the Happy Valley Adventure Bureau, Beaver Stadium, Medlar Field, and we'll stop at the MorningStar Solar Home. Back up Porter, then ride Curtin Rd. We'll pass the Penn State Berkey Creamery (possible munch stop**), Palmer Museum of Art, and a stop at the Nittany Lion Shrine (Photo Op). We'll head down Boroughs and cross Atherton via IST Westgate. Next we'll pass the NEW Penn State Bike Den, and head down West Campus and down Blue Course bike path. We'll circle the golf course and come out on Park. Cross IST Westgate and down Pollock Rd to Bigler. Take Bigler up to the Penn State Arboretum [Which is now currently under construction, sorry]. Take Services Rd, down to University Dr, cross over and use sidewalks to the 'Pennsylvania State University' welcoming wall outside of the Stadium. Next down Park (tricky area sometimes), then Orchard. Take Orchard all the way down to Puddintown Rd (don't take the connector), Turn right and we'll be visiting the Millbrook Marsh Nature Center. We finish by taking the bike path back and enter Spring Creek Park from the back, and use the nifty bridge to crossover.
This ride contains sidewalks, bike lanes, bike paths, some gravel, some fresh green grass, and a little dirt. I minimized the hills as much as possible. You may also see Deer, Cows, and Horses on this route as well :)
Ride is Approximately 14 miles
** Lines can be long for the Creamery. Can also stop on the way back, before the Arboretum.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

What's the start time?
9am, but you can do it anytime.
The PSU game is at noon, traffic will be a nightmare. I have to work now, so can't lead the ride.
I showed up -- I was about ten minutes late and I didn't see any bicyclists so I did a nearby geocache and then started my 18.5mi ride. As a solo cyclist, it was actually really nice riding up Park and then behind the Arboretum -- you could blend in with the walkers and the cars were held back. I didn't quite follow the original route because I couldn't remember it all but I tried to stay on as much of it as I could remember in case I saw anyone. I ended up doing the West end around the golf course, then back to campus on the trail and rode home to Boalsburg.
Sorry about that. Originally didn't expect an early game and I got called into work which didn't help. Sorry I couldn't make it, glad you got to do the route. I had a video of the route, but the camera died 3/4 the way through
