Look! Dirt! After driving 4000+ miles during the last week moving Nora, seemed like a little dirt ride was somehow appropriate. Haven't been on the MTB in weeks.... Gonna take awhile to regain my pre-move conditioning, looks like, though I felt mostly ok. It was very humid (Ida's a-coming) and pretty warm and there were spots where i felt more winded than usual. Still, nice to be in the woods after several weeks of not. Even with all the afternoon thunderstorms of late, seems like they were more noise than delivery -- trails were not the least bit wet or soft. A coupla usual mudholes were still mudholes but it was mostly peanutbutter mud, not the super sloppy kind. Probably the last dirt until next week, with the approaching former hurricane and rain predicted for two days.
