Team GLPA Wisconsin Trail Ride. On a chilly Saturday morning, Gary, Dave, Bob, Todd, Geoff, and Chris drove in three vehicles from Christmas Mountain Village to Kendall, Wisconsin, where we were then transported by a Speed's Bike Shop van and trailer to their bike shop in Sparta, Wisconsin. Team GLPA then rode 27.5 miles southeastward along the Sparta-Elroy Trail, passing through all three abandoned railroad tunnels. Skies were mostly sunny with temperatures in the upper 50s and very light N winds. I wore cold weather gear (Specialized tights, base layer, red jersey, jacket) with regular gloves. We had a light lunch at a little bar on the trail in Norwalk. My iPhone battery failed about 11 miles into the ride, ending the GPS tracking. The remainder of our ride was manually added later.
