Madrid is a cool, artsy little town. I stopped at the Java Junction for a breakfast burrito and espresso latte before I left town. It was a relatively short & beautiful ride to Santa Fe, I'm told it snowed in Santa Fe in the morning, however, it was all gone by the time I got into town. Once in Santa Fe I located skip coffee house stopped in for a bowl of soup and a well-made vanilla latte. Then I headed over to a warm shower host, Jess Gantos' place. She only had a short time before she had to leave to meet some friends for dinner in Albuquerque. But I enjoyed hanging out with her and her to bandmates for about an hour and a half before she had to leave. I spent the rest of the evening showering doing laundry by hand and feeding myself. I need ready for tomorrow's ride up to the Earthship Community near Taos. It's going to be 82 mile ride.
