On a sunny and chilly Saturday afternoon, I rode to Busse Woods and its brand new bridge over the west end of Higgins Road. I left home at 1:09 and returned at 4:06 p.m. Skies were sunny with temperatures in the upper 40s with light SSW winds. I wore cold weather gear (Specialized tights) with winter gloves. Home . . . to Cloverdale to Lawrence to Keeney to Lake to Bryn Mawr to West End to Maple to [Roselle Metra station] to Rose to Lawrence to Plum Grove to Oriole to Bluejay to Longboat to Schooner to [path] to Wise (becomes Biesterfield) to White Trail to Rohlwing to [bike path] to [Busse Woods trail] to [Busse Woods loop @ 2:00 and 9.9 mile mark]. I crossed over the new trail bridge spanning Higgins Road at its west end @ 2:09, completed one loop (cw) and left the loop at 2:44. I retraced my path back to Plum Grove to Devon to Ambleside to Granville to Prospect to Main to [Roselle Starbucks @ 3:19]. I left Starbucks at 3:42 and continued on Main to Central to Hill to Maple to West End to Bryn Mawr to Lake to Keeney to Lawrence to Cloverdale . . . to Home.
