Participated in Bike the Drive for my fifth consecutive year. Starting at the Fairmont Hotel (at 5:35), I took Columbus to Randolph to a park path that led to Monroe and then to the starting point at Jackson and Lake Shore Drive. Riding onto Lake Shore Drive at 5:43, I headed south on LSD and rode to the southernmost point of the loop at the Museum of Science and Industry (at 6:13); then rode back to start/finish (at 6:57); then rode to the northernmost point of the loop at Bryn Mawr (at 7:37). I then rode south past the start/finish (8:28), rode again to MSI (at 9:09) and back, rode past Grant Park (at 9:39) and continued about 2 miles past Grant Park, portaged over the grassy median (at 9:51), and rode back to Grant Park.
Skies ranged from a mostly cloudy at the start to mostly sunny after about the first hour. After that, there was a mix of clouds and sun, with more sunny times than cloudy. On a day that would later shatter a 101 year old record with a 97 degree high temperature, I started my ride with a temperature of about 66 degrees, and it reached the mid-80s by the end of the ride. I wore original style Livestrong jersey and Specialized shorts. I stopped many times to take photos and video clips with my iPhone.

Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
