Best ride this week. Earlier rides made me think more about my daily nutrition and that helped.
I timed the effort with the lap button and based the effort on the Cerros Colorado climb Strava segment. The warmup was fine, paced myself to start the TT, but I still lost steam about 3/4 of the way through. I think I went anaerobic for a little too long and I had to dial it back or I would not have made it through the next section. At one point I rock crawled at 3~ mph. I lost a little time on one section where I picked the wrong line on a rock and dismounted for 3 steps. I lost a little more time on the Strava segment thinking I was done but was short 25 ft short. Regardless I think I learned a lot from breaking it down like this and thinking how I’m going to improve my time. This is probably the time I should expect but I was hoping for better.
I continue to have difficulty timing efforts to climbs for my intervals. I did really work to go hard on the climbs but kept finding myself descending. I think my efforts after the TT were a little short, so I continued o ride the ups hard until later in the ride.
Bike handling felt easy today. I was intentionally keeping it back a little on the descent but ended up putting Up my best time getting back to the trailhead.
Overall great ride and learning curve. Excited for the weekend rides. Sunday will take some planning.

Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
