Super fun & easy ride today! Major tailwind all day. Got my 2nd rear tire puncture of the trip within two day of the 1st puncture (see photo of the nail). I thought for sure that I would need to patch the inner tube this time. But since I was only one mile from Clayton when it happened, I decided to just pump some errand to the tire and try to get into town and repair it there. What's in town I decide to get something to eat first. And then I went down to the hardware store to borrow a bicycle floor pump. I put 80 pounds of pressure into it and the tube & tire held it again. Amazing! After leaving Clayton, NM, I got a call from Alex O'Brien who said he was in Oklahoma I wanted to know if I want to meet up. So we made a plan to meet in Boise City at the end of my ride. I picked up some food at the grocery store and then went over to the Mexican restaurant that was recommended by the cashier at the food market. I quickly decided that I could better making guacamole and refried beans
