Rode 11 miles from NN to Yorktown start, then to Williamsburg. Lovely weather. Crazy ass speedy drivers giving fairly wide berth but not slowing down at all and often swerving around us into the other lane and then swerving back just before they crash head-on into oncoming traffic. Colonial Parkway from Yorktown to Williamsburg is gorgeous, and not super bumpy like in 2010 (did they replace or is it because of better, softer, wider tires with less pressure?? I think both.) Old Williamsburg super quaint, like a preserved 1700’s town. Had cheese, bread, and beer sitting outside in the pedestrian-only plaza while Rafael played beautiful violin music of famous old songs. Crappy hotel, Super 8. Non smoking room so grossly smoked-in we immediately went back and asked for different room, they obliged and it was mildly better (“well, we can’t stop people from smoking”, they said!!). Mediocre but yummy Mexican meal from restaurant next door before crashing into bed after 1 plank and 1 Superman for 1 minute each. Oh and we stretched our forearms/hands, and the. iced our hands and our feet because we’re tight and sore.
