The route we RODE was great. We enjoyed the paved trails. It was a cooler day with highs near 80. Stiff winds from the North. Each leg going East had a noticeable cross wind. We put in extra miles today due to cooler temps. Let me explain our route. I deemed this stretch as Adventure Day because both the Wabash Cannonball an the North Coast Inland trails had outer sections that were grass paths. Google Maps kept directing us down these grass trails, but we opted for roads. Secondly, ohiobikeways.net said the NCIT was fully completed but gave different directions through 3 towns than Google maps. Here's the scoop. The NCIT is completed through rural stretches, but each town has streets dedicated as the "trail". Sometimes there's a dedicated bike lane with signage, Sometimes there's not. Bottom line: just use Google maps to follow the routes through these towns, which is sometimes 5 miles of street riding before returning to the trail. There's no need to be anxious.
