CP2 Tourmalet 15.08 @ 3.36PM My 1st big goal has been the Tourmalet, it was set up in my mind since the start. The following step will be the Windmills, I am looking forward to seeing this landscape. But first, France. I guess the 1st picture is the Pyrenees approaching ? I feel at home when I cross the border and also more nervous than the day before. I realize that it is going to be very long before I stop riding. The media car catch me before coffee, that is not my best profile. I got some coffee at last (2nd pic), those guys are bike touring and ask me about handlebars & comfort. I am happy to explain that I have no time to explain. Later, I would just have to try with my eyes, and leave, because my Spanish has not improved since last year. Bizous is kisses spelt wrong in French (3rd pic) and I think this is a race, not a competition for best picture (I would lose). I meet Anatole at the beginning of the Vielha tunnel, we go up the 1st part together to call for the assistance, in order to cross the 5k long tunnel safely. I would like to find a hotel in Spain but it is too late, all doors are closed. I sleep in a bank, I am cold and have not the best recovery. I will aim for a hotel the next evening, that will be a good motivation.
