GPS positioning of photos is all wrong. You get the idea though? Set off early to be back by midday. A good ride. Spiral into Paris then back to Maisons-Laffitte. Highlights? Arc de Triomphe roundabout. Made it across twice on this ride, both times with no dramas. Different viewpoints of the Eiffel Tower. The sounds and smells of Paris waking up. Street markets setting up. Looking back and feeling good about doing it. Makes a decent track on the map for posterity. Things did get crazy at times. Rules of the road? Seemed optional for many. Needed my wits about me. Compared with London, Paris felt riskier. It was hard to predict what drivers, people on bikes, and pedestrians would do at crossings and lights.Bike paths often stopped abruptly or were blocked. Lots of road works. Bit stressful. Made it back safe though.
