My goal was to ride within 135-155 watts and for the most part I was able to accomplish that until I made the turn around and headed into a headwind that blew everything up, then for a two mile section I had a side wind and a saw a rider up ahead... you know that competitive part of you that says you already got your ride blown up and when you turn it will be 17 more miles of headwind, go get him and enjoy the next 2 miles before the torture! So I did, I was going much faster that the rider so I just yelled on your left as I got near to pass. I passed him and to my amazement he jumped on my wheel, I thought maybe I'll have some one to ride with for a bit. We came up to a hill and I did what Albert I always do gave it some gas, I thought he stayed on my wheel when I got to the summit before shifting down to the next harder gear, I looked back to see how the rider was doing. He must have got off my wheel as soon as I picked up the pace because it looked as of he was still near the bottom, which he wasn't... I guess it was ok because another hill was right there and away I went! Never seen him after that. Not sure he was going the same way as me or not. I did power thru the head wind althe way back. I am a little pissed, this has happened a few other times in that past week. I like to end my ride at a full mile or over never a few 10ths behind. Well as I was coming in Gamin had me above 40 miles but when I ended the ride it showed I was 2 tenth short! It's the OCD in me that always want to do more than the minimum... oh well, most of the ride felt good for the parts with some aches and pains but nothing extreme. Looking towards tomorrow morning's ride with Albert.
