When it's roasting in Denver, it is such a pleasure to head up to higher elevations and I'm sure most of us that ride see that as a huge benefit of the sport. Today was no exception. The lost was pretty crowded and now that I've had my ticket experience on Stagecoach Road (my wheels were over the white line), I learned to be completely off the Buffalo Park Road across from the Aldefer parking lot. It was a gorgeous day and the West side up to the top of Evergreen Mountain is easier than the East, IMHO. Really friendly people and one runner in particular was extremely nice to stop and chat. I can never get over the views from the top. Even though Bergen Peak is higher and has awesome views, you're offered wonderful southern and western vistas. Had some derailer trouble coming up Ranch View. I should have attended to this before Sunday's ride at Centennial Cone...
