Went riding in the afternoon. Weather was cold. Called for Arm/Leg warmers, Skullcap and Jacket. The wind was from the north and it was cold, but I got warmed up by the time I reached the top of the descent. Cruised the way down and did good tempo up the ascent. BUT, just as I thought I was going to cruise the rest of the way... Shortly after passing the Loop Monument, my rear derailer cable snapped. As I predicted before, the derailer went to the bigest gear, the 11 tooth! So I wrapped the loose cable around my stem and did the rest of the climb on my 39/11. I was out of the saddle for the last half of the climb, weaving back and forth to ease the gradient. It looked like it was going to rain when I was almost at the top, but it hailed tiny beads of snow. No biggy. So that was the story of the day. GPS was working, no serious ailments. Some soreness in the right calf, which I was able to control. Gopro is still on R
MA status. I bought some shifter cables today and installed on the bike. Am set for a ride on Sunday. I bought some stuff from Performance, I hope it gets here soon!
