Went solo riding today. The weather was perfect, however the wind was coming from the south. I was absolutely flying on the way out. I reached the outskirt of SS in under an hour. There was some road construction still going on, so I had a waiting period of at least 5 minutes. Nevertheless, I hammered on. I thought the return trip was going to be a crawler, but I did real good time! After reaching Boss Hog, I realized that I was on real good time. So I hammered the rest of the way. My heartrate was able to stay in the upper registers, I'm not sure if that was just a luck of the draw for this day, or perhaps the reduction in meds? In any case, today was one of the best rides I've done, where the wind was coming from the south. Ailments, my right knee was a little sore in the beginning, but went away, and after that, no ailments except exhaustion. GPS is working well, not sure if it will read the speed without the wireless pickup. Gopro is due to arrive this week, will see how that goes. Bike is working great. I think the cable has stretched just enough.
Forgot to mention, today was ride #300. with more than 100 miles of vertical feet of climbing for the past 2.5 years (or so).
