Monday Labor day ride with WVC around the White Tanks. They started at Harkins on McDowell. I rode to Indian School/Cotton and then S a bit to explore and turned around N, knowing they would catch me. They did up by Shadow Ridge HS. I was able to stay with them for 3 miles after the canal on SVP. They were fast. Then we regrouped at the Shell Station on SVP. A smaller grp continued around but they again were really fast and they dropped me in a mile or so. Nice day of cycling. There was a slower rider, Carl, that I kept bumping into and ultimately saw him sitting on steps of Verrado Info Center. I helped him navigate through Verrado and back to Indian/cotton lane. This was my first day to cycle with clipless and having the road shoe - to - eggbeater adapter plate turned backwards on my shoes. This set the cleat a bit further toward mid-sole. Seemed ok to me.
