Went for a ride in the early afternoon. Well, the weather was cloudy, and they predicted rain in the afternoon. I decided to go anyways, hoping that I would be done before the rain started. Especially since I went to Keene which takes just over an hour. I made it about 1 mile to the bottom of Keene, and decided to turn around. The temperature was actually on the comfortable side. I wore arm/leg warmers. Took the leg warmers off in the beginning of the return ascent. I was pushing it hard on the rest of the way back up the climb. I just wanted to get out of the rain as quick as I could. It was sprinkling pretty much the whole way back. But, the roads were wet, and that's what got things all drenched. I was only a few miles from home when the roads were at their worst, so no biggy. Concentration, urgent, I was just thinking about getting home. Balance was good. Bike held up nicely, started making some creaking towards the top. To be expected from the wet terrain. GPS, Gopro working great. I tucked my walkman under my arm warmers. Ailments, a little soreness in my right calve towards the last 1-2 miles of the return climb. It went away by the time I reached home.
