Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Went for a late afternoon ride. Today, the weather was cool. Somewhere in the upper 50's. I slightly misjudged the weather. I wore only 2 layers with arm warmers. It became apparent to me that I was in for a cold ride as soon as I hit the end of the block. Anyways, I decided to press on. So, I just floored it to the top of Woodford-Teh. That got me warmed up quickly. The descent was cold, but bearable. I did good time to the bottom, in less than 28 minutes. I decided to just blitz the uphill. And that's what I did. The wind was at my back and the cool temperature kept me from overheating. I felt real strong, good concentration and balance. I was pretty much at my limit for most of the ride. I had no real ailments, other than a little soreness in the lower back. But getting out of the saddle every so often seemed to fix that problem. Gear.. GPS wasn't picking up my HR until about 1/3 up the return ascet. I should have put some water on the electrodes, will do that next time. Gopro working great, Bike, no creaking. Everything came together nicely today. Just a real solid ride all together.
