A later than usual start to the commute today. The kiddo and I got an early start with some breakfast at Black Bean Diner. We followed that up with a medical appointment. The original plan was to take her and then have her drop me off at work. Then the wife would pick me up in the afternoon on her way home. Well that was before the kiddo worked her tail off at the horse show last night and was just wiped this morning. So I ended up doing all the driving this morning. This actually worked out for the best, because we got home early enough for me to ride in to work versus driving. Also helps with my every other day commute pattern. I thought I was going to ride Tue and Thur this week, but realized I have to take the dog to the vet on Thur morning. This would have meant riding on Tue and Fri. This way I'm kinda "reset" and get to keep my every other day with Mon, Wed, and Fri this week. Win win! Tried something new today by going all the way over to Valley View for the ride north. Not sure if it was because it was later in the morning, but the road was really nice and chill. Not much traffic, not too many lights. Also was able to clear it off my Wandrer list as well. May give it a try again another morning to see how it is between 7 and 8.
