As was the case yesterday, today’s ride featured a witheringly powerful WSW wind of 15-25, making for some very strenuous riding heading down to the bridge. With temps once again in the low 40s (Weatherbug is presently reporting 39 in Denver!), at least the bright sunshine and nearly cloudless skies helped to moderate this unseasonable chill. Joey seems to be taking a nosedive emotionally and was still in bed at 9am when I called this morning. He claims to be suffering from ongoing Covid symptoms, but I think he’s really fallen into a deep, dark funk. I hope he’s going to be OK. At least the ride went well, and I’m starting to get back into the cold-weather riding pattern. For the most part, I was comfortable on the bike in spite of the considerable wind chill.
