Start November With a DC Loop (and temps in the 70s)

Well that was different. After a month of dirt riding, finally had the right combination sunshine, warmth and location. Downtown for meeting so took the bike because the forecast was fabulous. And it turned out to be true, too.

Temps in the low 70s; stiff wind from the NW but not cold. Bright, bright sunshine. IN NOVEMBER. So THIS is where my global warming went...

Had to use my phone as GPS after misplacing the Garmin. Found it later, smh. Not sure how accurate it is, but the miles got counted, so we're good.

Been awhile for a ride where it's not all intervals. Not sure the steady-output slow-twitch muscles were all that ready but they survived.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
