Finally weather improved so I could go for a tour of Belgrade's hills and rivers. North part of the city, north shores of Danube and Sava river, is flat but south part is very hilly and forested. Everyone can find his/hers favorite riding.
160 years old Platanus tree in front of the Milošev Konak musem is still standing strong.
Hajdučka česma (Rebels water spring) in Košutnjak forest is great spot to refresh and relax.
Kalemegdan fortress has always something new to surprise you. I visited so called "Roman well" Rimski Bunar that was built during the Austrian role in 1730. It is 61m deep and 3.5m in diameter. There are two sets of one-way stairs. One would go down, collect the water and continue up without disturbing incoming people.
I'm glad to see that restauration work on Mehmet Pasha Sokolović water fountain was completed. Built during Ottomans in mid 16th century.
Nice weather brought many people out for a walk along the Sava and Danube walkways.
