12/13/2022 Schuylkill River Trail 200 K permanent

This was a challenging one, both from the terrain on the western part of the route, and the many roads that had traffic and no shoulder. It was difficult to save on phone battery power as the GPS app had to awaken from battery saving sleep mode to display the tons of cues that were often less than a mile apart. I was a little disappointed there was no better country scenery. But we saw several downtowns with their Christmas season lighting and displays. I met Dawn at her home, which is 1/2 mile from the route. We started at the base of Main Street into Manayunk and did the segment into the city (by Lemon Hill), first to get that out of the way.

Yeah, I did not like the busy, no-shoulder part of the SRT.

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
