The Dude, one of our loving puppies, had to leave us Thursday 12/15/2022 about 12:15am. He enjoyed most of his years in Solana Beach after a month across from Balboa Park where we got to watch the start of the Rock-n-Roll Marathon early one morning. He was born in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana where we found him slightly neglected. Later spending a couple years in San Mateo then back to SB a few more years before the last year and few months in Carlsbad. His breed is Catahoula after the Native Americans living along the Mississippi river now known as Catahoula Parish, Louisiana. He was an incredible companion in so many ways as only a canine can be to a human. We had many adventures in many states. Some of his favorite activities include biking trails, frisbee on the beach, hiking anywhere. He even hiked Slick Rock in Moab, Utah. After encountering much wildlife over the years he could pick out the distinct sents of several animals: raccoons, rabbits, coyotes and many others. An incredible Dude! He's deeply loved and greatly missed.
