Overcast clouds, 48°F, Feels like 48°F, Humidity 55%, Wind 2mph from SSE - by Klimat.app What the weather conditions forebode as a dismal attempt at this planned Cactus Cycling Club event ride, evolved into a very pleasurable & interesting bike ride /route. I've been curious about the Marsh Road for some time & learned today that it is "Historic US 80" which is a frontage road to heavily traveled Interstate 10. A fair-sized crowd of riders showed up at the meeting place in the morning, but several were discouraged by the dark rain clouds & cold wind that we encountered and decided against riding. About 10 of us decided to give it a try knowing that we could turn arond at any point on this out & back route. Paul & I were the last to leave , but the longer we rode the better the conditions became and we succeeded in riding the entire route. But, I often stopped to take pictures of points of interest to me, so we were pretty much on our own. The temperatures ranged from the 40s into the 50s with sunshine the last half of the ride. I'm so glad we completed the entire distance. :-)
