Fuel EX 9.8. Cloudy, humid & cool - high 20's up to 30, West winds not much of a factor in the woods. Never had any freeze/thaw with no sunshine appearing. Similar conditions to Paul Douglas the other day - light snow cover a bit packed in by fat bikes into an ~18" track. Not too slippery except in the turns, snow was pretty frozen, more of the consistency of sand, just icey enough to limit my speed. Only saw 2 other bikers, both on fat bikes. Nice conditions for riding but I cut it a bit short as I forgot to bring a cycling jacket. Fortunately I had a light jacket with me and two layers - one was merino - arm warmers and plenty of toe, head and finger protection so I was comfortable the whole ride. Stopped at Pub 64 in Sycamore for lunch on the way home. Good ride overall, probably won't be able to ride for a while with snow moving in before Christmas Eve.
