45k off-road- Kenilworth Castle - Hatton Locks - Grand Union Canal - Knowle

This 80 percent off-road loop takes in easy bridle ways and canal tow paths across Warwickshire. Recommended starting points at Kenilworth Castle, Hatton Locks, any of the pubs along the Grand Union Canal, Knowle or public transport at Berkswell Station. Easy going fairly flat ride with some great countryside views. Plenty of stopping/re-fueling points along the canal. Note the bit very near Berkswell Station was on footpaths which of course we walked - I'm sure you could find a better way in to start the disused railway which runs from Berkswell to Kenilworth though - we have a look next time we're up this way. Forgot to turn the GPS back on which is why the hill profile along the canal looks like we rode underwater!

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
