Seven. Cloudy, cool - around 4o degrees with wicked Westerly winds - high teens and low 20's with gusts up to the 30's. Rode with Jack from the Batavia River Walk down the FRT to Aurora, where we jumped on the Virgil Gilman trail right by the Hesed House. Took the VGT out West through Prestbury/Bliss Woods to Hannaford Woods FP at Merrill Road - limestone section there was wet, sloppy and muddy, which my tires do not like. Combo of roads back to the FRT in North Aurora and then back up to Batavia. With the wind, seemed much colder than 40 and my legs didn't feel all that great but were ok on the last half. Really slow on the hills. Nice route that I haven't done in a while. Had a light lunch at the Gammon Coach House than went down to Sturdy Shelter Brewery for the first time when they opened at 2:00 pm. Nice place, great ambiance and some good new beers at both places, joined by Mary at the brewery.
