Happy St Patricks Day !This seemed to be the first ride I had done for months and I really wanted to do it . But the forecast was not that hopeful and I had intended to start before 11AM but let it be till 12AM approx . The weather was very misty and nearly rainig and occasionally it did rain . But by the afternoon it became much better . It was however quite cold and you still needed to be in your winter woolies but then you were doing some hot work . I had intended to go along Lords Way but I went North when I hit the 12th Lock when I ended up in Adamstown but I then went to Hazelhatch and went the right way . Went as far as Straffan where I had my dinner . Then remembering this was La Naomh Padraig went to Clane to discover that a parade was in progress which was great. At this stage I was getting tired which was not surprising as this was the really first longish cycle I had dove this year . I must try to do a bit of a hilly one . For example to Glencree and maybe to Sally Gap . But I might do that in a few weeks time when the weather up there is a bit better , not as windy or cold . I cheated on the was home by walking the hill near Rathcoole , but when you have that one complete the whole thing is then really downhill. Which is great. A great Day . But very tired after it al
