2023 Portugal Tour Day 13 Benavente to Leon

There was little happened today - I cycled off and followed straight, flat roads through ploughed fields pretty much all the way to Leon.
I did reach an old stone bride over the Rio Obrigo and shortly afterwards there was a nice Chapel in Alija del Inantado. I also came across chumneys sticking out of a grass bank - on closer inspection it looked like dwellings had been built underground by digging into the bank.
I cycled into Santa Maria del Paramo instead of round it to try to find something of interest ... I didn't ! At this stage I took some photos of cloud formations in the sky !
I stopped for lunch after 44 miles at Arconcino which was only 9 miles from Leon and soon I was entering a large Industrial Estate which lead me via another straight road into town.
Having had a really uneventful day cycling I was in town by 2pm and I've had a great day looking round the great city that is Leon !
