Fiddled with all the bikes, then went for some test rides. Swapped new Eggbeaters onto the Tricross in place of the old SPDs so that both road bikes match. Added pedal extenders to the Eggbeaters on the Slice so that they actually fit me and my wonky feet. Inventoried the Tricross bag, then packed the new Slice bag to mostly match. My Cygolite tail light won't fit on the back of the TT bag, but there's still room lower on the seat post for it. Aired up all the tires, then took the Slice out to be sure nothing was going to fall off. Note to self: remember to check the profile on the computer before starting! Had to stop and swap that about a mile into the ride. The overall fit is really close. I think I can come up a couple of millimeters on the seat post, and tip the saddle nose down just a bit (this is actually probably true on both road bikes). The second ride was over mostly the same course, but on the Tricross (save for a diversion onto my jogging loop, just because). The pedals on both feel fine, though I need to practice clipping in to make it natural. It was a pretty day in the low 70s, sunny, with light NE wind. The crosswind on Marlatt is always disconcerting, but I'm getting good enough on the TT bike to weather reasonable gusts. Wore the olive jersey with an older pair of PI shorts.
