Nice mostly gravel route with a few paved sections to rest the legs. Probably 80% good gravel roads. Start at Clear Springs Campground and head SW through the forest before coming out at Knoxville. Ride on Hwy 33 for a few miles before heading east. Several paved sections with a few tough gravel sections before arriving in Gloster. Refuel and fill up your bottles at the Piggly Wiggly in Gloster. A few small town restaurants may or may not be open. After you leave Gloster, stop by the Aboretum for some nice photos and relaxation. Possible camping at the Arboretum if you talk to the care taker. Leave the Arboretum and head west along nice gravel rollers and good climbs. Eventually trend NE along continuous gravel until back at Rosetta. Cross over the river on Hwy 33 and head back into the Homochitto NF at Knoxville. Beautiful stretches of gravel roads will lead you back to Clear Springs. Showers and mountain bike trails await you at the start. Optional Singletrack finish at Mile 85 (FS - 102) if you turn south. National Forest camping rules along most of the route. Limited re-supply options so a water filter and plenty of food suggested.
ALTERNATIVE START: Park at Rosetta then 50 mile loop back to the river for camping, 50 mile 2nd day around Clear Springs
