So, I decided to go with the Fizik saddle, and after today's ride, I'm glad I made that choice. This saddle is real comfortable on the sit bones. Just below being too plush. I feel no discomfort after the ride. The temperature today was perfect for shorts and short sleeves. Very comfortable weather. Only thing going against it was the winds from the north. I made it to the top of banducci in under 30 mins. Ended up finishing the SS loop in under an hour. I was flying on banducci on the descent and to SS. Like I thought, the return trip was horrible headwinds. I just kept my head down and ticked the pedals over. Although my legs were there, my back was sore on a consistent basis, but not so much that I had to stop. I paused at a few spots to recuperate from the labor into the wind. Stretching on the bike helped the back. My right calve started to cramp a on a few occassions, but not like my sore back. Finally, numbness in the right hand. Changing hand positions and shaking here and there kept it in check. I felt good concentration today, just listening to the music and kept my focus on the road. Balance was also good. There were times that the wind wind was a cross-wind, so it felt like I was favoring one side over the other. To be expected and not an ailment. Gear, everything worked perfect today. I heard no clicking noises from the wheels. Today was the first day with the new PerformanceBike Forte skewers. The quick-release seat clamp worked like a charm. No problems there. The shifting was great. Although, I could tell a hint of delay on the down-shift. I think I might micro adjust it 1 or 2 clicks down. Will check on that later. The rear tail-light was holding its position, I think I had to adjust it once in the whole ride
One thing to note, The GPS takes the reading off the sensor and not by Sattellite (sp?). Not sure what is up with that. More investigating on that later.
